How to Buy a Peshawari Chappal Online in Pakistan
Peshawari chappals are easy to copy badly. A factory pair can look right in a photograph and fall apart in a season, and the price difference between genuine handmade leather and a synthetic lookalike is often smaller than people expect. Here is what to check before you pay.

Check the stitching, not the photo
Genuine handmade pairs have visible, slightly irregular stitching along the strap and sole. Perfectly uniform machine stitching on a very cheap pair usually means a glued sole and a synthetic upper. Ask for a close-up of the sole edge.
Ask what the sole is made of
A leather sole is stitched to the upper and can be replaced. A rubber or synthetic sole is usually glued. Neither is automatically bad, but a glued sole cannot be repaired, so it should cost less.
- Stitched leather sole — repairable, traditional
- Stitched rubber sole — grippier, still repairable
- Glued sole — not repairable, should be cheaper
Understand the price bands
In Pakistan, a genuine handmade leather Peshawari chappal generally starts around PKR 4,000–5,000. Below that, expect synthetic leather or a glued sole. Above PKR 8,000 you are paying for premium hides, double soles or hand embroidery — make sure the listing says which.
Buy from a seller who shows the return policy
Fit is the main reason chappal orders come back, so a real return or exchange window matters more than a discount. Check that the policy is written on the site (not only in a WhatsApp reply), that the return window is at least a week, and that return shipping is covered.
Cash on delivery is normal in Pakistan
Most reputable Pakistani footwear stores offer COD. Use it if you are buying a brand for the first time — you can inspect the stitching and the leather before paying. A store that only accepts advance payment for a first order is worth a second look.
